Frequently Asked Questions: Why has the library moved to remote and no-contact services only? In light of the surge in COVID cases in the county and the state, we are taking this step to ensure the safety of staff and customers, and to help flatten the curve of COVID-19.
How long will I have to pick up items once I’m notified that they’re ready? You will have seven days after you receive the notification to pick up your holds.
Do you have the latest bestsellers and other new releases? As we’re sure you can imagine, everything has been delayed by the pandemic, including ordering new materials. Thank you for your continued patience as our selection and ordering teams work hard to catch up.
How do I return library materials? For everyone’s safety, please place all returns in BOOK DROPS ONLY.
What do I need to do before I return my items? Please do not clean the inside of any books. Feel free to sanitize plastic book jackets and DVD cases and allow them to air dry before returning in book drops. All returns will be quarantined for at least five days before being checked in.
Where can I drop off donated items for the library? We no longer accept donations of books or other materials.
How is the Library keeping staff safe? Safety is our top priority. We are following the guidance of federal, state, and local health officials on our processes, protective equipment, and cleaning procedures. You can help us by maintaining a social distance of at least 6 feet from library staff at all times and by wearing a face covering at all times during pickup.
